By accessing and using this site you agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right, at our complete discretion, to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting revised terms on the site. It is your responsibility to check periodically for any changes we may make to these terms and conditions. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to these terms or other policies means you accept the changes. If you disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, please do not use our website.
The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of this website.
The use of this website is subject to the following Terms and Conditions of Use:
* The products available for sale on this website are only available to individuals who can enter into legally binding contracts. The products are not available to persons under the age of 18 years and any other persons who are legally prohibited from entering into binding contract.
*Any returned items will incur a 20% restocking fee charged on each item returned.
*You must not pay, or attempt to pay, for an order through any fraudulent means.
*While House of Candles employs Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology software, we will not be responsible for any damages, consequential losses (whether direct or indirect) suffered by a customer whose credit card is fraudulently used.
*The content of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice. We do not make any representation as to the accuracy of the information presented on this website. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of all information on this site, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of it.
*The House of Candles logo and name are the property of the website operator and may not be used without the prior written consent from us. You must not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload to a third party, communicate or distribute content of this site without approval from House of Candles.
*From time to time, links to third party sites may be provided on this website. We are not responsible for and make no representations concerning the condition and content of, or products offered on third party sites. You access third party sites and use any products or services offered at those sites at your own risk.
*Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
*House of Candles require that all items sent to you require a signature at point of delivery. The signature must be written by the person who placed the order or a person nominated by the purchaser to act for and on behalf of the purchaser. The name and address of the person nominated is to be supplied ‘in written format’ to House of Candles. You agree to ensure that at the delivery address as supplied to us on your order the above requirements can be met.
*We do NOT authorise safe dropping for any items. If you are not home for delivery Australia Post will card you and your items will be sent to your local delivery centre or Post Office. Australia Post holds your items for a maximum of 14 working days.
*House of Candles is not responsible should you not pick up your items within the time frame and refunds are not given for returned items. It is your responsibility to liaise with Australia Post with the tracking details sent to you on dispatch of your items. Once dispatch of your items has been made and tracking number and details sent to you our contract has been fulfilled.
*There are no refunds on bath and body products due to Australian Health regulations.
*Should an item arrive broken or damaged House of Candles requires proof of damage in the form of photos and signed written advice advising of the damaged item/s within 48 hours of acceptance of items and signature of proof of arrival. House of Candles will then dispatch an EXACT replacement with postage costs at our expense. Any claims after 48 hours of acceptance are null and void.
*Your items are not made until payment has cleared into our account then your order goes into production. Your order can take up to 5 working days to make, cure, label and wrap. Your order is then dispatched where it can take up to 10 working days via road/train service with Australia Post.
*All items are sent to the address on your account when you registered. House of Candles is not responsible for wrong addresses or details.
*Should you require items that have been returned to us to be resent you are liable for additional postage costs.
*Any order placed through this site for a product is an offer by you to purchase the particular product/s for the price notified, including delivery conditions and other charges at the time you place the order.
*You agree not to use another persons credit card or bank account details for purchasing from House of Candles.
*You agree that items such as candles, diffuser oils and candle melts purchased from House of Candles are flammable and you accept responsibility to take due care when using these products.
*You agree to indemnity House of Candles and its employees, agents and independent contractors for all loss, damage, costs and epenses arising from any breach of the above terms.
